Wells at Joyce Green Dartford is the only remaining firework factory in the UK of a type which once was common. It has stood derelict for the last 30 years and is in imminent danger of destruction from vandalism, the elements, or redevelopment. The UKPS is in the process of rescuing some of the buildings and errecting them as a Fireworks Museum at Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre in Sussex. The first load is already at Amberley and more work is planned in June. We need three things: assistance, money and publicity. We need to raise £6000 to complete the project.
